Hello everyone. Sorry it’s been a couple of months, life has certainly kept me busy. I’m taking a little time on a train between meetings to update this, as well, I’m well overdue.
I’m due my next infusion next week, lucky number three. I had the second about a month ago with a very similar result. Headache, fever etc. This time I went into a and e, they gave me a whole bunch of drugs (in a side room which was nice of them) and then I went home at 1am thanks to a lift from my long suffering mother (Madelyn dropped me off).
The infusion reaction diminished the next day but I think I caught a bug in A and E because the next few days were spent close to a toilet.
Anyway… Three weeks of relative good health and my next infusion is next week. If it’s three with reactions I think I can assume each infusion will take me out for a couple of days (I do drink a lot but no change). There are other options and I am seeing Doctor Hodson soon, so we will see where we are. I am also due a blood test after the third one to see how it’s going. Fingers crossed my blood is full of immunogoblins (as I now call them). Industrious little buggers.
Anyway that’s me. Can’t complain otherwise. Life is going well. Kids are being (mostly) good. And work is fine. Long may that all continue.
Thank you for updating Marcus, we all missed you, and know that the immunoglobulins work. LUK how #3 goes.
Marcus, you truly are a warrior fighting the good fight. You are an inspiration to us all.
