So the charity walking month has begun in earnest and I have 100 miles for the month under my belt. (I’ve committed to 225… Which now feels a lot.).
I’ve had to come out hard because today is my infusion so I suspect I won’t be getting much walking in.
In total we have 52 walkers this year and the goal is to beat the 6000 miles from last time and get as close to the Bering sea as possible. It’s also to raise more than 10k pounds.
So far we have made it to Ukraine in the first week, and are well on track.
Money wise we have 6000 raised and any donation is gratefully received. (My page is

)
(the money raised is for blood cancer UK, a great cause which provides medicine and support for blood cancer. Blood cancer is the leading cause of cancer for children).
The team for walking is fab and we have a lot of posts every day sharing how we are getting on!
So the walk is going well and today I’m having my monthly infusion. It’s all good, I’m really used to it and know all the team members here. It’s something I have to do for the rest of my life so I may as well get comfortable with it! Even so it’s no big deal compared to other treatments, so I count myself lucky.
To summarise I’m all good health wise (other than sore feet from walking). The kids are back at school and doing well and we are smashing our walking challenge. What’s not to like!
