Actually in my case it’s No pain in general. Since I stopped running, and aside from one over optimistic trip to the gym, I am officially symptom free. I must admit it is a bit of a dodge as I haven’t been running which caused the symptoms in the first place, but in some ways that doesn’t matter. Both the fatigue and the spleen pain have gone, which is a real win. It may well be that if I hadn’t run then I wouldn’t have found out I had splenic Lymphoma for the next 5 years or so but you can’t put the genie back into the bottle!

I do still bruise marginally easier than before, but not like a peach so it’s all good.

Whilst things are looking up on the symptom front I do feel the need to complain about the ineptitude that is St Barts hospital admin team. Don’t get me wrong, the Professor was really nice and very competent, as were all of the medical staff, but the admin have clearly been trained at Faulty towers. The reason I say this is because I have yet to have my second appointment.

The first one they booked me in for (a week after asking) was during our business show on the 9th, so I asked them to reschedule to anytime on the 14th or 21st. They then gave me an appointment on the 6th of November, (4 days response time to my email) when I am off to India. I then emailed back and asked them if they could do it for the week of the 14th and the 21st. I got an email back five days later saying that as I have rearranged a few I need to ring them. I did, eight times, and the number rung through, no answer or message service. I then sent an email back saying I was free on the week of the 14th and the 21st. and that the number wasn’t working. This was on Monday I have yet to hear back.

Now if you followed that (and it is convoluted) then you may be thinking what I am. If I need an operation there I’m sure the surgeons are great. However if I get confused with Evans Marcus who needs a leg amputation I will be less than happy. More hoppy. (sorry, I don’t pun often but when I do its bad).

Thanks for reading, I have some more to post next week but have a good weekend until then!
