It was a little earlier than expected, and I didn’t even know about it when I blogged, but Jo went into labour yesterday. Her waters broke in the morning and by 10:20 last night we welcomed Grace Florence Carmel Evans (two middle names equal twice the fun). She was 6 pound 4 ounces and both mother and baby are doing well.
Jo was a trooper and only used gas and air, in part because the Labour was fast but hard. It took seven hours from first twinge to birth and we used a birthing pool for some of it.
I respect both Jo and Graces privacy (because I have been told to) photos are available on request for a small fee.
Needless to say we are both happy, although with only an hours sleep in the last 30 hours I suspect we are just getting introduced to tiredness. š
Congratulations to you both
