It’s been a busy 17 days for our 42 walkers (and runners and one dancer). We have been crushing out the miles and sounding out every Sunday. Last Sunday (I did promise to.post on Monday this week but, you know, life. ). Well last Sunday our goal was to hit Istanbul, but we went well beyond that and entered Asia as a group. We reached Ankara, and had cracked out over 2200 miles as a group in the ten days.

We set the goal for this week to reach Baghdad, but I’ve got a sneaking suspicion we have again crushed the numbers. Some people have raised their goals, because they were putting in the grind, and I think 4010 should be dust by the end of next week.

We have also had an amazing time with donations, with over £6000 in so far and counting. Some really stand out fundraisers, with Emily, Jabba and Liv and Mike leading the pack. But lots of people have hit their fundraising goals, which is super impressive.

I, however, am still shy of my goal by around £700 so any donation, no matter how big or small, would be fab. It’s a wonderful cause, Blood Cancer UK and one that does great things. My link is https://www.justgiving.com/page/marcus-evans-1683046640353

Anyway I will keep you posted next week. Tomorrow is the day we gather stats and is day 18, so more than half way there. I think we can overhit Baghdad. (Which is 3150 miles from my house, and be well on our way to 4010 and beyond.

Keep up the good work all you lovely walkers and wish us continued good fortune. :).
