Hi guys. It’s been a while since I posted. Firstly some good news. With Robs company contribution and gift aid we raised 13200. What a phenomenal amount and I can only thank the people who took it on and took part. My friends, you are awesome.

Then some bad news. I am ill. It started Monday night. I’ve been running fevers, being sick (which is rare for me) and feel so congested I can’t think. I’ve also had no energy. That would all be annoying but tolerable if it hadn’t just fallen on a week Jo was in Milan… Doh. Not only that but Graces leaving assembly and a sports day to boot. I attended them all but did not feel at all clever.

To sum it’s not been a good week. Given the fever I started taking co-amoxiclav, as I’ve been told to if I get a fever. Ondanestron for the vomiting. And then the usual aciclovir and cotrimoxidol. Oh and lemsip. Gotta love paracetamol for keeping the temperature down. And I have gone full salmon (as Jo says) and the bed is soaked every night.

So far the kids have been good about it. We didn’t leave the house yesterday, but had lots of screens, but given how tired they are because it’s at the end of term that seemed ok. Grace was kind and made breakfast. Sadly the milk had just gone off and so I had to tell her, which was sad for her. But nice of her to do it.

My heart rate has been a steadyish 100. Temperature fluctuating. Up to 38.5 but not super high. As a SMZL suffer you have to keep on top of things, so I’ve been monitoring it.

Jo is back tomorrow, so we can then work out if I need to go to the doctor or if recovery has started. We have a wedding we have been looking forward to next week, so I’m just hoping I’m better for that.

Anyway just thought I’d update you. Not been ill for a while, so I guess it was probably time.
